CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, March 16, 2016— Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today announced the BW Clip Real Time maintenance-free single-gas detector, which provides a real-time gas level display and the ability to calibrate the device, giving users instant visibility of accurate, reliable gas readings at all times.
As with the popular BW Clip, the Real Time model comes in two-year versions for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen or sulfur dioxide and three-year versions for hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide. This maintenance-free, single-gas detector runs continuously, with no need for sensor or battery replacement or battery charging.
“With the BW Clip Real Time, we’ve included everything that customers love about the BW Clip and added the benefit of the real-time display, providing instant gas readings even in non-alarm conditions,” said Bob Fawley, product marketing manager for BW Technologies by Honeywell. “Users can see the current gas concentration level, identify any changes in atmospheric conditions and thus make timely, informed decisions—for example, choosing rapid evacuation of the work area when time is a critical factor.”
The detector also features an automated internal test function that routinely checks the operating condition of the sensor, battery and electronics to increase safety, uptime and overall worker confidence.
The BW Clip Real Time is compatible with the MicroDock II and IntelliDoX instrument management system. With IntelliDoX, users can bump, calibrate or configure their detectors and even put BW Clip detectors into hibernation.
Engineered to the highest standards of quality and reliability, companies can feel confident that the BW Clip Real Time is protecting their workers — and their operations — with 24/7 hazardous gas detection.
