Honeywell Analytics FD Series Triple IR (Infrared) flame detector is SIL 2 rated for the most demanding applications. Three precisely tuned IR sensors, AVI technology, user selectable sensitivity, and time delay settings provide unparalleled false alarm immunity and detection performance.
This FD Series Flame Detector is the only one on the market that uses patented Automatic Visual Integrity (AVI) testing technology, which continuously checks optical surfaces for contamination while at the same time verifying functionality of the sensors. This feature replaces external reflectors and light sources used by competitive products that often cause unwanted false alarms.
A built-in automatic “through the lens” self-test monitors lens obscuration and checks the operation of the detector’s sensor array and electro-optical electronics module every three seconds. In addition, a removable anodized aluminum detector module (puck) provides protection against EMI/RFI and handling plus easier field installation and replacement.
