Toxic, real time gas detector with digital and analogue outputs.

The Honeywell Analytics Comet is an intelligent gas detection instrument, which utilises a unique electrochemical sensor to detect toxic and corrosive gas. The Comet is especially designed for a simple “Point of Use” installation at the potential source of gas release.

The design, with its duct mounting adapter, allows easy installation direct at the exhaust ducting of gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes and equipment enclosures. Installation costs are significantly reduced.

Alarm, maintenance and fault information are clearly indicated by LEDs. The Comet is an extremely cost efficient gas detection transmitter.

Based upon the market’s smallest and most reliable electrochemical sensor, the Comet  offers flexibility, simplicity and application ease.  The Comet can be purchased in either an analogue or digital configuration, allowing it to interface with new and existing facility control technologies.

The digital Comet utilises LonWorks® technology. Life safety systems built on a LonWorks® network platform allow users to leverage the cost efficiencies of distributed controls, while maintaining the integrity and reliability necessary for code compliant safety applications.

Each digital Comet instrument bears a unique address for use on a LonWorks® network.  This feature allows it to participate in a community of other intelligent LonWorks® devices, which when considered together, comprise a life safety system network. Gas concentration, alarm, maintenance and fault information are distributed onto the life safety LonWorks® network for use by other field devices in order to initiate life safety shut downs or data display.
