Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announces the launch of GasAlertMax XT II, a portable four-gas detector from BW Technologies that offers a smart, simple, economical way to ensure safety compliance as well as boost on-the-job productivity and bottom-line performance.
Engineered using proven Honeywell processes and intelligent design, GasAlertMax XT II combines a long-life oxygen sensor and an integrated, high-flow sampling pump (SmartSample) for hard-working, reliable operation in confined spaces and other hazardous areas. The simple one-button operation and go/no-go interface make the unit easy to understand and use, and automated compliance features adds smart control and economical value. Workers make fewer operational errors, training time is reduced, and the crew can concentrate on the job at hand. The benefit to the company is less downtime and increased job performance leading to improved productivity and a better bottom line.
With approval ratings for UL and CSA, GasAlertMax XT II provides a first line of defense from carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, oxygen and methane and other flammable gases.
GasAlertMax XT II uses a simple, easy-to-navigate interface common to previous generation gas monitors from BW Technologies. The instrument is compatible with the MicroDock II docking station, an automated test and calibration device available as an accessory, or it can be hooked up to a PC, adding even more control and safeguards against compliance concerns. Tamper-proof, user-adjustable options enable the instrument to be customized to suit any application.
The SmartSample intelligent pump technology is the most robust of its kind available through BW Technologies by Honeywell. It minimizes pump blockages and improves remote sampling result accuracy. Air samples can be obtained from as far as 75 feet (23 meters).
